Hello, Darlings! Dahlia here, writing in from my luxurious royal chambers. Today I was sitting in the garden enjoying my afternoon tea, the bright sunshine beaming down on me and illuminating the flowers and my gorgeous features. It brought me right back to the bright sun I felt at Hizashicon and I couldn’t help but reminisce! Naturally my thoughts on these matters deserve an audience, so that’s why you get the privilege of hearing them! I’ll just assume you’re thanking me right now since I can’t exactly read your mind while reading this…
So, this past November was Heartstrings’ first time moving the manor to Hizashicon in Pensacola, Florida. Despite the fact winter was encroaching on us, the sunny skies and sea breeze lifted my heart and almost fooled me into thinking it was summertime! I must admit, I was curious what we would find waiting for us when we arrived. Considering it was their first year in operation, they were quite fortunate to receive MY- I mean our attendance right out of the gate. Well my dears, I was absolutely blown away when I found the CUTEST little convention with the most AMAZING place to put the manor! And that’s not all – all of the new masters and princesses I met were some of the kindest and most fun I’ve ever had the pleasure of serving! I don’t usually enjoy serving instead of being served, but you all made me forget every bit of negativity!

Our kitchen magicians had also been working overtime to concoct some new flavors for everyone’s enjoyment – our brand new Matcha Parfait and Cheese Fondue! The Matcha Parfait has yummy matcha ice cream, perfect for cooling off after standing in the hot Pensacola sun or from carrying around all those shopping bags from the vendor’s hall! On the other hand, our Cheese Fondue with pretzel chips and veggies provided a much sought after savory snack for those who don’t possess quite the sweet tooth some of us maids do (that’s how we stay so adorable all the time – insider secret). Once again, I am in awe of their ingenuity and foresight to anticipate our lovely patrons’ needs.
I was having such marvelous time I even forgot that I had been feeling a little under the weather that day. The sun, wind, and smiling faces blew all of the rainclouds hovering over my head away! Having had such an amazing experience, it’s no wonder I couldn’t help but get lost in memories today, no? Whenever I think of returning to Hizashicon, my heart skips a beat from the sheer excitement of getting to be there and seeing everyone again.

While I’m sure you all hung on to every word of this letter, it is getting a bit long in the tooth, and I have ever so many royal affairs to attend to, such as my beauty sleep! Keep an eye out for my next message, and I hope to see YOU at my table for Hizashicon 2025!
Lovingly as always,
Dahlia
